Mangerial

The media sector has a lot of managerial jobs which involve a lot of responsibility. One of the main managerial job is a director. for example a film director, is the person who directs the actors and film crew whilst film making. They guide the technical crew and actors and control the artistic and dramatic aspects. They usually develop the vision of the film and carry that out throughout the the film, deciding how it should look. The director will also be involved in the post production and work closely with the editor making sure the right shots are used and the mood of the scene is reflected correctly with the edit. The director is involved with the film throughout the whole process of production to make sure their vision of the film is kept throughout the film. Being a director requires leadership and managing skills aswell as creative skills. Another job counted a managerial is a project manager. A project manager is someone who is responsible for the planning, execution and closing of any project. It is there job to make sure the stated objectives for the project get completed. their main jobs involve developing a project plan, managing the project team and managing the project risks, schedule, budget and conflicts. The project manager will assign the project team their job roles and ensure they know what they are doing and execute there job. The specific roles of a project manager may vary in the different industries. This job requires good leadership and management skills and being well organised will help. Another job in the managerial sector is a radio station manager. A radio station manager has the daily responsibility of managing the operation of the radio station. They will manage the different areas of the station, manage the schedule of the on and off air staff and also tend to promotions and advertising issues. The station manager is also the communication between the station owner and the employees. The station owner will set goals for the station and it is the station managers job to ensure the employees are doing there jobs to accomplish these goals and also keeping the station owner updated with the progress.  This job will erquire, as the others do, good leadership and management skills, organisation skills and good communication skills.
