Financial jobs in the media involve anything to do with the managing of money or "funds". Within the media industry there are various different jobs under the financial area such as a film accountant. A film accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining finances throughout production. They will work closely with the producer and the production team to prepare schedules and budgets for the film production, as well as managing the accountancy day to day and reporting the financial progress against the budgets.This job role requires leadership and team working skills, organisation skills, accountancy skills, good communication skills and it will also help if you have knowledge of the film making process. Another job that is financial based is an auditor. An auditor is someone who will check financial books of companies, charities and government bodies. An auditor will conduct a check on their clients accounts assuring that the money paid in and out looks accurate to the profits and loss's the company has declared throughout the year. They will also advise the companies on where money can be saved in certain areas. This job would require good analytical skills, organisation skills, communication skills, attention to detail and it will also help it you understand how a business is run. Financial based jobs, overall, will require organisation, communication, analytical skills and a basic level in mathematics will help to being successful in your job.
